The role
Migrate a set of legacy SQL Server pipelines onto Databricks and own their reliability afterwards. The client intends to convert this role to a permanent position at the end of the contract.
What you will do
- Design and build batch pipelines in PySpark on Databricks
- Migrate existing stored-procedure logic with parity testing
- Set up data quality checks and alerting
- Document pipelines for the analytics team that consumes them
What you need
- 4+ years in data engineering
- Production experience with Spark and Databricks
- Strong SQL and data modelling
- Authorised to work in the United States
Nice to have
- Delta Live Tables or Unity Catalog
- HIPAA-regulated data experience
