The role

Harden an Azure environment ahead of a SOC 2 Type II audit window, and build the controls and evidence collection that make the next audit routine.

What you will do

  • Review and remediate Azure identity, network and storage configuration
  • Deploy and tune Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Sentinel
  • Implement and document controls mapped to SOC 2 criteria
  • Work with the auditors on evidence requests

What you need

  • 5+ years in security engineering, 3+ on Azure
  • Hands-on experience through at least one SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Bicep or Terraform)
  • Authorised to work in the United States; background check required

Nice to have

  • AZ-500 certification
  • Okta or Entra ID governance
